Loads of places doing Covid specific insurance and they don’t cost much more than dual (was £20 to upgrade my annual to include cover)
And once the FCO say you can travel again, which they now are, then your insurance is also valid so long as you’re going to a country on their approved list

Yeah mate, that's why we've sacked it off for this year. Already lost holidays to Thailand, Majorca and Rhodes, ain't worth the potential aggro.

Welcome to your new-found freedom.
Travel insurance will no longer cover anything Covid-19 related either, as it is a known factor. Insurance is only to cover the unknown/unanticipated.
You get called into C-19 quarantine when you arrive at your dream holiday destination - tough titty.
You may well find that if the room you had been allocated for your holiday is in use as a quarantine cell for a previous occupant so the hotel can't accommodate you, that's double-tough titty, before you've even started packing.

Apparently two people on a flight that landed in Crete tested positive, and everyone else who was on it were called into quarantine, fuck that for a laugh.

Off to see my dad who lives in Fethiye, Turkey for 15 days on 20th August. It's going to be very hot as usual at that time of year. Looking forward to it immensely

It's been at least 45 degrees outside every day for the last month where I am and the virus is still running amok.
I strongly suspect that the temperature thing is a ruse to get people to shut the fuck up.
